      other suggestions?**PSA** 📣🚗👀

Driving to The County this summer and hoping to get home on the 401 West-bound afterward? The popular Wooler Rd/County Road 40 on-ramps to the 401 West-bound towards Toronto and East-bound towards Kingston will be CLOSED May 22 to August due to construction.
      .
We suggest considering a short and sweet detour through Trenton as an alternative to getting onto the 401 West-bound.
      .
This on-ramp closure does not affect the Wooler Rd exit from the 401 heading into Prince Edward County.

Update and forecast looking goodLake Ontario’s level rose 3 cm (1.2 in.) last week, reaching 75.28 m (246.98 ft) yesterday, which is 25 cm (9.8 in.) above average, but 57 cm (22.4 inches) below the level on this date last year. Ottawa River flows peaked and began to gradually decline over the past week, and as they did, outflows from Lake Ontario were gradually increased while still maintaining Lake St. Louis near the Plan 2014 maximum F-limit level of 22.10 m (72.51 ft) that applies at the current Lake Ontario level.

Lake St. Lawrence’s level fell during the past week as outflows were increased. Gates at Iroquois Dam, which had been previously lowered to suppress high levels on Lake St. Lawrence resulting from the temporary flow reductions through Moses-Saunders Dam, are in the process of being re-raised.

Some precipitation is forecast for Lake Ontario this weekend, but current forecasts suggest a relatively drier week thereafter. Outflows will continue to be increased as the Ottawa River declines. Lake Ontario levels are expected to rise slightly during the coming week under most potential water supply scenarios, but it is also expected to reach its seasonal peak fairly soon and begin its seasonal decline thereafter.
